Am I the right photographer for you?
It is important to pick a photographer that you get along with and who makes you feel comfortable in front of the lens. Each photographer has their own unique style and personality - so be sure to meet in person (or via video conference) before you make the final decision. If you are looking for a straightforward wedding photographer to produce predefined photographs, then maybe we would not be the best fit. But if you are adventurous, like having fun, and are looking for a storyteller that uses the art of photography to capture your bespoke wedding day, then I am your guy. My goal is to capture the unique story of your first day together so you can look back on those precious memories forever and share it with your friends, family, and possibly children or grandchildren one day.
I weave together the story of your wedding day by drawing on all the elements: the weather, guests, venue, taking care to document the details you arranged for your special day. It’s not about the photographer but rather about the people and events that make up your day: which is why my documentary style of photography suits weddings so well. For the wedding couple portraits, I follow a fashion shoot approach - stealing the couple away for a private 1 hour fashion shoot at pre-scouted spots in and around the venue. The ideal time is an hour or two before sunset when the light is soft and flattering, and of course, at sunset - when we get to use the most beautiful backdrop that only nature can provide. Beforehand, I like to spend some time with the couple get to know them better. This helps me better understand who you are, what type and style of photographs appeal to you, to ensure I can provide you with a tailored, personalised service.
