Love2 Light : Lighting Workshop

Photography is literally the art and technique of engraving with light!

This workshop forms part of the Love2Shoot family of boutique courses and workshops for photographers. This is an empowering lighting workshop for intermediate and advanced photographers who want to understand light better, shoot with natural light and use off camera flash techniques fearlessly.
 
The character of the light in photographs determines much about the quality of the overall image. Having said that, light and lighting does not have to be complicated at all.
Knowing lighting means getting to grips with 1) capturing light the way we see and 2) manipulating light to make images the way we imagine.
Many people photograph only in natural light (available light) because of fears concerning the learning curve about all things flash (aka technical and technological stuff). This workshop will show you how both kinds of light, natural and artificial are the same in functionality, but different in the way it is captured.
Love2Light is a comprehensive workshop aimed at those intermediate or advanced photographers who are comfortable with manual exposure, aperture, shutter speeds and ISO settings, but would like to unlock their potential to confidently shoot in ANY lighting conditions in a variety of different ways.
 
Love2Light consists of two full days and will include light lunches & coffee.
DAY 1:
- We take a look at some camera specifics, lighting gear and types of lighting conditions.
- Then we will get practical, learning how to harness available light and use it in different ways.
DAY 2:
- We focus on off-camera flash (in studio)
- and mixing flash & available light (outside).
