Beginners Course
The topics covered will be:
- Camera functions
- Shooting techniques
- Exposure
- Light
- Composition
- Visual communication
- Digital workflow
All that is needed for the Beginners Course is a digital camera, preferably with a manual exposure function, like a DSLR, but any camera is welcome.
There are 2 options to choose from:
1) Saturday Groups: 4x Saturday half days @ R2500 per person.
The groups are kept small as to encourage questions and personal interaction. We meet in coffee shops all over Cape Town on Saturdays and discuss the theory over a cuppa. Straight after the theory session, we venture out on a photo walk to put the theory into practice. (Eats and drinks are not included in the price of the course)
If you are considering this option, you’d be happy to know that if you get friends to sign up with you, you will receive R500 off your fee per person.
2) Weekday 1-on-1: 2x full day @ R3500 per person.
Ideally, there will be one or two days between the first and second day of the course which will give you a chance to get your head around all of the technical information. This will also help you come back with some questions which we’ll be able to directly address while having fun with your camera on the second day.
