Audi R8 (Photography theme)

this loads much slower than the same set loaded with the Awesome Flickr Gallery plugin. I prefer the ease of use the guys at Themefoundry built into the normal way of using their theme, so its a bit of a catch22: speed vs ease of use (in the backend). to see the difference, please compare the three AudiR8 pages

Any chance you the themefoundry guys can get the flickr images to load faster within the Photography theme? this will also help to get the shortcut link done right under the page that loads when one clicks on “portfolio” – at the moment there are three galleries and only this one shows up because its the only one that is set to read from flickr in the way the Photography Theme is coded.

I have a 512kb line at home – this seems to be WAY to slow for the Photography theme gallery to load my images off flickr. connecting with my phone via 3G at least got the image to load, but it took long. very long.

For a more comprehensive gallery, also see models and fashion (done with regular Photography Theme gallery drawing from the flickr set) and models and fashion gallery page (done with Awesome flickr gallery plugin) and the loading speed becomes obvious. whats worse if that the image size selected in the gallery options is set to medium (large does not show the 700pixels long images), only the 800 pixel long images ive uploaded more recently.
